Daily Synaxarium
The Martyrdom of St. Apanoub.

On this day, St. Apanoub (Abba Nob) was martyred. He was born in the city of Nehisa (District of Talkha). His parents were pure and merciful and they reared him in the fear of God. When Diocletian incited the persecution against the Christian, St. Apanoub was twelve years old, and he desired to shed his blood for the Name of Christ.

Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church Icon Dear Lord,

We thank you for this day and for the gifts that You have blessed us with. We live in Your promise that You will never leave us, but be our source of strength, satisfying our souls and filling our hearts with Your goodness. In a world where we are faced with daily challenges, may we always be reminded of Your great love and sacrifice for us. Guide our path in life so that we may always grow in the knowledge of Your love and be united as one family in the bond of faith.

In Jesus Christ's Name, Amen.

Sayings of the Church Fathers Icon

Sayings of the Church Fathers
"The heart governs all the members, and when grace fills all the pastures of the heart, it governs all thoughts and all members. For it is there that the mind and all the thoughts of the soul are found. Therefore, it is there that one must look to see whether the grace of the most Holy Spirit has inscribed therein His laws."

St. Maximus the Confessor.
